Todburn Equestrian Centre is well located less than 10 minutes north of Morpeth and under 2 minutes off the A697. It offers a well situated competition venue within easy reach of all the major roads.
A variety of equestrian disciplines are on offer from British Dressage, Dressage UK, Arena Events, Combined Training, Unaffiliated Points Show Jumping, One Day Events and Show X. The centre is available for hire by Pony Club, Riding Clubs groups and individuals. The Morpeth Hunt Pony Club hold rallies and team training, and British Show Jumping hold Academy Training clinics at the premises.
Top trainers instruct on the premises and the facilities are suitable for the complete beginner to the serious competitor. The main arena is a floodlit 70m x 45m fenced arena. It has an Equestrian Surfaces Arti Turfsurface, made up of a waxed sand, fibre and rubber combination. The arena has the option of Cross Country jumps around the parameter, including an Irish bank, roll top and stile fences. There are also a variety of portable Cross Country jumps, which make it ideal for arena events and working hunter classes.
The arena benefits from a full competition set of Jump 4 Joy showjumps- with a wide selection of fillers, gates, water trays and planks. Adjacent to the arena are the judges raised viewing box next to the secretaries area. A bench seating area offers a good vantage point, and a recently installed heated cabin makes a welcome shelter on colder days.
There is a 40m x 20m warm arena with an Equestrian Fibre surface. The declarations building is next to the arena with a short path to the main arena entrance. There is also the option of warming up on an old turf grass field area right next to the warm up.
There's a great choice of XC fences at varying heights and the course includes: a water jump, Trakehners, skinnies, coffins and steps etc. The course is used for training, private and group hire as well as competition purposes.
The addition of a new Farm Ride also opens the door to leisure riders, who can enjoy a scenic ride over acres of farmland, with optional jumps available.
In the heart of the Morpeth Hunt country, the centre has a long established livery yard, offering bespoke packages to suit most clients.
There is good access to the main 100x 60m car park, with the option of further parking alongside. The toilets and entries area are closely linked to the car park, and a cafe serving hot food is always open on competition days.
