Todburn Equestrian Centre is owned and run by Elaine and Ian Carmichael on their family farm in Northumberland. Ian and Elaine, having been involved with horses for many years, decided the time was right to diversify their farming business and offer a new competition venue to riders in the surrounding areas and beyond.

Ian enjoyed success teamchasing with the Forge Flyers as well as Point to Pointing in the Northern Area. He was previously Joint Master and Field Master of the Morpeth Hunt.

Elaine having show jumped as a junior, met Ian whilst teamchasing herself with the Border Raiders at the UK championships. Elaine has evented a range of horses including several homebred ones.

She now helps and encourages their daughter, Emma, with her event ponies, whilst Ian spends time watching their son, Liam, playing rugby for school and club teams.
